Guest guest Posted April 3, 2004 Report Share Posted April 3, 2004 You can get waterproof dressings that enable you to shower from when they remove the leg drain. They are the normal dressing here in the UK. I would think they are available anywhere if you ask. This is why I've recommended the use of a " soap on a rope " in previous emails. I was able to shower at day 3 post op - others did so from day 2. Waterproof dressings were also used by the District Nurse on her follow up house calls.
