The waterproof bandages we were given at Lexington Medical Center are

called Tegaderm. I put one on to shower then, after showering,

replace it with a conventional bandage.

> You can get waterproof dressings that enable you to shower from when

they remove the leg drain. They are the normal dressing here in the

UK. I would think they are available anywhere if you ask. This is

why I've recommended the use of a " soap on a rope " in previous emails.

I was able to shower at day 3 post op - others did so from day 2.

Waterproof dressings were also used by the District Nurse on her

follow up house calls.
