Hi Everyone,

I am totally clueless as to what a " secret sender " list is or ASA is.

As I said earlier today, it is not a good idea to put out over the internet

the names

etc... of everyone who has subscribed. You may however go to our archives at

the

Onelist Site, and check out the names/Email addresses of anyone who has

posted.

This would be much better and cyber-safe for all of us.

Only the moderator has a full list of all the subscribers, and as chief

moderator, I do not

feel it would be wise to put the list out. Sorry.

I am doing a little better, My surgical staples may come out on Tuesday, I am

hoping

that the two Pratt drains come out too- but am not hopeful since they

stilll

put out 100 ML of serosanguinous fluid a day.

I got some good news from my rheumatologist the other day. Since the new

higher

dose of Imuran is not doing the trick, he will get me onto Enbrel as soon as

it is out.

My neighbor is a scientest who works with the FDA on medical devices, and he

says the word is a month or two still to go on the release of Enbrel.

Is anyone else looking to get on it?

ASA is alt.support.arthritis, you know, the news group. The one with the flames

and fire and brimstone. I hope it cools off soon. I enjoy the people there,

Well, I guess I am underchief moderator. Hmmmmm. Problem is I don't know if you

are feeling better or not , so I am waiting a day or so to step in (I

I would like to try it someday if I can afford it. However I hear it may have

some nasty side effects on some people. It seems to wipe out their entire

immune

system. I haven't heard of statistics yet on this. Anyone know anything?

Here's where I can help, since this is what I do for a living! =) get the

" wax " to a consistency of molasis (sp?) .

**Apply in the direction of hair growth with a large wooden " popsicle stick "

you can get these at a beauty supply store.

** Place a piece of muslin over the hair to be removed, leaving quite a bit

to grab onto

**Then rub the muslin back and forth about 10 times to make sure all hair is

covered and sticks to the wax.

** Pull in opposite direction of hair growth to remove.

**Apply some lavender & tee tree oil mixed with some sweet almond or jojoba

oil to the area when you are done to sooth the skin,

**** DO NOT TAKE A BATH OR SWIM FOR 24 HOURS AFTER!!! And do not use

synthetic fragrance products on the area.

I too just have to comment on the wonderful job does with the

list!

I love the information and all the help you can and will recieve here.

If you really want to belong to this list, then you'll stick with all

the up and

downs it takes along it's course. If you don't, well good-bye. Your

I am glad someone mentioned left over Interferon in the 'pen'. I have a

bunch saved, I thought I was doing something wrong because so much is

left over sometimes. I am most likely going to use it eventually. My

treatment is for 48 weeks.

I was on Interferon alone in 1991, that is how it was prescribed back

than. Now I have been on the combo since August of last year.

I take supplements and vitamins and herbs. I mostly stick with Chinese

herbs that are mixed together into a formula, and are turned into pill

form. I do know that vitamin A and D are dangerous to the liver at high

doses, and I do read ALOT about herbs and such before I just take it.

I would like to suggest a GREAT book by Hobbs. " Foundations

of Health, healing with herbs and foods "

There is alot of information about liver care, good foods to eat and

alot more.

If anyone need any information about herbs and stuff feel free to email

me, and I will see what I can do to help. Or atleast point you in the

direction.

believe that they've involved both recorded and written material. For more

I thought I would try this venue to request a little assistance for my

work.

1. I'm looking for data from HIV seroprevalence research among migrant and

seasonal farmworkers. These studies may be large or small, camp-based or

clinic-centered, exploratory or hypothesis-confirmatory, local or statewide,

formal or informal, or something else I may have missed.

2. I'm interested in learning about HIV education efforts for farmworkers,

whether the efforts are programmatic, that is, they exist as part of a

formal

program or they are provided by a staff member who was trained/is assigned

to

provide education, and/or provide HIV counseling/testing.

3. I'm interested in finding out more about HIV education and/or AIDS care

management programs for migrant and seasonal farmworkers where ethnography

is

(or was) a component in developing the program.

For the past 3 years, the Farmworker Justice Fund, Inc. has been doing

HIV/AIDS prevention education among migrant and seasonal farmworkers in

Texas and Arizona. We have educated over 5,000 farmworker family members

in this effort. For anyone who is interested, we have a curriculum and

We have also collected reported studies on seroprevalence among farmworkers

Thank you flukesayer and Mahoney They took tests which will be back on

Friday. I did take those lung tests, blowing into things and all that and

came out with first class lungs. I did smoke as well but gave it up 10

years go. Lungs have fully recovered from that anyway. Many thanks.

Dear Theo:

I am happy to hear that your lungs received a clean bill of health for I too

used to smoke. I quit some 15 years ago and still feel like a smoker at time

with an almost constant phlegm in my throat. No smokers in my household and

I work in a smoke free environment. Perhaps allergies?

I will ask my doctors on the lung issue pertaining to those who have

defibrillator v. those who do not when I see them on Thursday, June 1.

Anya, I'll be interested to hear what you think of the 'everclear' grain

spirits. I found that in WV, and did some blends comparing that and the

110-proof vodka. Without being able to quantify, I am yet of the opinion

that the supposedly '95%' everclear isn't really that strong. It got cloudy

at about the same point as the vodka which is only 55%. It didn't burn all

that longer or that hotter. I mean, how can you tell if a state licensed

distiller is watering their rotgut? I was not happy. Hopefully your

experience will be better.

Because it is not pure alcohol, e.g. at least 95%, there is water in

it, that caused the turbidity.
