Another Whirlwind in Iowa

We made it home from Iowa by midnight last night and it was another good trip.

's feet moved wonderfully in her last cast and Dr. P was pleased. After we

soaked them off and finally got in a room, he came by and put those precious

hands on her feet and said to me " I've awakened at night worrying about this

child and her feet wondering if they'd move again. Now look. She's doing just

fine. She'll be fine. She'll be fine " and then left to take care of someone

else until we could get in the cast room. How awesome! I'm soooo glad we

finally went to him. She will be fine, I just know it.

, it was awesome meeting you, too! We also had clear roads and not an

ounce of trouble if you discount the winds that kept with us until South Bend.

The Lord blessed us!

We're headed back in 9 days or perhaps 2 weeks depending on the weather to get

what we think will be our final cast and then back in to the shoes.

Dr. P said that we'd most likely have to keep her in those because of her hard

to correct feet and their desire to relapse. Something about the pressure

points and the foot being surrounded with no room to move or some such. But

that's okay. She'll have wonderful feet for the rest of her life.

Oh, one more thing. He's pretty sure that if things don't change with her

muscles and tendons she'll have to have the tendon transfer surgery :( so I'm

going to do what I can to stretch that side of her foot. Any help toward info

on that would be appreciated.

Chris
