Guest guest
, I don't think you made a mountain out of a mole hill. You just expressed a frustration that many of us have. Part of dealing with club feet is grieving some losses and for some folks that includes the desire to wear certain types of clothing. In dressing our kids while in the bar you just have to be creative. As I've expressed, my biggest frustration is pj's. And while some of the ideas are definitely worth a try, others like replacing them with others that work isn't always feasible within our budget so I alter and make do. Don't feel bad about grieving the losses and let us know what ingenious things you come up with to conquer them! And just for perspective (and not to make any one feel badly!) we not only have to deal with club feet - which is a pip compared to other things in life that could be wrong - we have to have clothing that also allows for easy g-tube access as my daughter receives her nutrition through a tube in her belly. This is really our biggest challenge. Clothing always has to have access to her belly for long periods of time (a 30 - 60 minute drip several times a day) and while using two piece things seems to solve the problem, it leaves her belly hanging open because onsies aren't exactly g -tube friendly. However, my mom and I are making button holes in them so we'll see how that works. Now I'm just afraid she'll discover the button and pull it out. LOL Until we get that started, we can't use the one piece outfits unless they have snaps all the way down the front. I am a WAHM who does a lot of running around and I like to dress my kids in things that don't look like pj's as I need to be a bit more professional. Alas finding things that have belly access, keep her warm AND fit over the bar can be a challenge. But we are learning what works and what doesn't and I'm getting really good at alterations! Chris Re: Re: Shopping for clothes-venting Thanks to everyone who gave great advice to clothing frustrations! I now have some new ideas to try. I know it is only temporary and the frustrations will soon pass. ( I didn't mean to create a mountain out of a mole-hill!)
