Read an interesting article on how Erythromycin (and other macrolide

antibiotics) can cause subclinical mitochondrial defects to manifest

as disease. I took *lots* of erythromycin in my childhood, due to

chronic tonsillitis and allergy to penicillin.

We've heard about cholesterol-lowering drugs causing myopathy.

And anti-HIV drugs can cause mitochondrial disease as well.

So I created a poll - for privacy reasons, I listed all three drugs

together and email addresses are hid, just yes/no as to whether one's

taken any of these drugs.

Hopefully none of us are on all three types of medications
