Hi my name is Aleeta,I am 31years young and 10 months post-op. I had

open rny on March 7, 2003. My starting weight was 307 and on

December 22 I weighed 154. I suffered from a lot of the condition

that are associated with morbid obesity including PCOS. December

22nd my dear hubby convinced me to take a pregnancy test because I

was several days late which was a norm for me and my period were just

beginning to attempt to become some what regular. It was a big ole

POSITIVE. We are overjoyed considering were tried for 2 years but we

agreed that we would not try for until I was at least 18 months post

op. My doctor didn't want me on hormones so there was no bc pills,

patches or shots for me.

The excitement is over shadowed with alot of fear. I have 2 children

from my previous relationship making almost a 10year gap between my

youngest and the baby. I am high risk from those pregnancy. In my

previous pregnancies I gave birth prematuely. The first born at 8

months and my second was at 7 months.

Since the surgery I have no appetite and the amount I do eat probably

will not satisfy the dr recommend caloric intake. I have had to

retire to my bed from the sheer exhaustion/fatigue from daily house

cleaning since becoming pregnant. I have had blood test and

everything looks ok except for my red blood cells, hemogloubin and

hemocrit but the doctor seems unconcernned. I am hoping doctor does

know best. LOL

Now that I have talked everyones' ear off. LOL I hope to meet

people going through some of the things and feelings I am going

through and be able to support each other in sisterhood
