Dr. Ponseti's response to my question

My son just had his tenotomy last week and will be getting the DBB in

two weeks. Our doctor said he would have to wear them full-time for 2

months. I wasn't sure that was long enough, so I e-mailed Dr.

Ponseti. He said our doctor probably said two months because my son

is a year old. He said after two months he could drop down to 18-20

hours/day.

I sent him pictures of my son's casted feet. He said they looked well-

casted, but he thought they might be atypical because they are so

short. He suggested we might want to try the Markell shoes if we have

trouble with the others.
