Guest guest
is 14 months. Before he went back into the casts, we worked on helping him stand using one leg at a time, one bent with foot flat on floor and one on his knee then he pulled himself up. We also worked on keeping his butt up straight and not leaning it out, we also worked on sitting him up keeping his legs together and making him roll over and push up with his hands from side to sitting up. Mostly it's keeping his legs together as much as possible. Very hard sometimes as he is just sooo darn flexible. I'm not too concerned with it, but it's good for him to get those muscles strengthened. He had his last surgery per Dr. Ponseti's orders in september and got his shoes in october. His heels are so tight and because he is working so hard on standing, he did a lot of toe stepping instead of heels down like he needed. sooooo, he relapsed after two months of being in them and we are back in casts. yay! Never thought I would miss the shoes, but man do I ever! He is soooo ticked at me because he can't pull himself up anymore. oiy! 3 more weeks to go, only 3 more weeks to go!! I sure hope this helps! It's a lot of work but it sure is fun! Enjoy every minute and every crazy thing they do! > > Hi thank you for responding to my email about bcf and freaky movement > with legs.
