I just realized a week or so ago that I have a slight buzzing in my ear (s),

(head?). When I first noticed the buzz I thought it was coming from our new

pellets stoves that have a fan in them,. so make a buzzing, whirring type noise.

But then I realized that I was hearing it when I wasn't at home. It is not very

loud, but for certain there. My hearing doesn't seem to be dimmished that I can

tell. I am not certain if it is in both ears or just one, I am almost thinking

it is just the one. Is there anyway to tell? I mean without medical testing?

I will mention it to my doctor this week. but would like any info or insights

any might have. I am not dizzy at all, and as long as it doesn't get any louder

I can certainly live with it, but I am wondering why it happened??? Like I

said, I am not even certain how long it has been like this, we have had the

pellet stoves for about 2 months, so it is at least that long. Did anyone

experience this before your hearing went bad?

Smiles to you,

information to help lower the impact of tinnitus which can worsen and many

times is the first hint of a hearing loss. I'm going to send you a few

sites which will give you an idea if you need to see an ENT for further

testing but please, if you do find that your hearing is declining, go to a

qualified ENT and not a place like Miracle Ear who will fit you with an

expensive hearing aid whether you need one or not. Most important here is

that if you have declining hearing, you really should be fitted with an aid.

Thanks for the update. I'm glad to hear there is a probably " normal "

cause for your buzzing right now.

could see fluid in my ear. So, that must be what is causing it. I will let it

run it course unless it gets worse. Then I will do something else I guess. But

glad to find out it doesn't look like anything serious at this moment.
