Guest guest
Hi We have often talked about feeling hot when others or cold or not being able to get warm. I have the strangest thing going on. From my knees down I am on fire. From my waist up I am like an ice berg. I think I can understand what is going on, but wondered if anyone else has had this experience. I am off to hide my head under my down quilt with my feet sticking out. laurie
Guest guest
Laurie Sounds to me like the ole' Dytautonomia at work once again :-) I was in Dr Cohen's office last year when I had an " episode " of my autonomic nervous system going hay wire! It was Feb. in Cleveland, cold as a can be especially for a Florida girl, and I turned BRIGHT RED and broke out in a sweat. At the same time when Dr Cohen did my Neuro exam my feet were ice cold and from the thigh down I was like an iceberg. Dr Cohen and I discussed the dysautonomia problem and he told me there is Specialist in Ohio who treats patients with this problem. He also told me that with Mito there really is not much the docs can do.........just another one of the ugly faces of Mito and something else to deal with. Hope you feel better soon! > Hi > > We have often talked about feeling hot when others or cold or not being able > to get warm. I have the strangest thing going on. From my knees down I am on > fire. Guest guest
I'm glad I'm not alone on this. I figured it was dysautonomia, but it was so strange to have both at the same time. It is inconvenient, but not like some of the other problems that come with dysautonomia. I've been over-doing, so a flair up of the dysautonomia is not a surprise. I am hoping to rest tomorrow. They came in and ripped out my cupboards to put in an assessible kitchen. 's daughter had helped me box up most of the things, but I had left some things out to use and just plane missed some, so I was pushing it a bit. Once I meet with the contractor in the morning, I think I will crawl into bed until I am over the hump and feel able to put one foot in front of the other. I figure that if I can sleep through the demolition of the neighbors studio that burned and what will be going on in mine, then I really need to be in bed. Thanks for letting me know I am not alone. laurie > > Reply-To: > Date: Wed, 29 Dec 2004 03:57:52 -0000 > To: > Subject: Re: strange > > > Laurie > Sounds to me like the ole' Dytautonomia at work once again :-) I was > in Dr Cohen's office last year when I had an " episode " of my > autonomic nervous system going hay wire!
