Guest guest
HI all, It's been a long time since I've posted. I had surgery 6/23/03 and the hospital missed the fact that I was pregnant when I had surgery (Lap RNY). I was sick with my last child everyday, but could just puke and go on. This time with re-routed plumbing it added quite a bit of comlication to the matter. I was hospitalized 3 x's for dehydration in the first 2 months post op. It was a really rough road for the first 3-4 months of pregnancy. I just wanted to post and let everyone know that I am alive, the baby looks good so far as we can tell, and I only have 3 weeks until a scheduled c-section! I hope that this situation never happens to anyone else, but if it does you can get through it. Weight-wise, I'm not at all where I thought I'd be this far from WLS surgery, but I had to decide early on that having a healthy baby was the most importanat thing. I'm still down about 16 pounds from my starting weight and I'm expecting a whole lot to come off pretty quickly after delivery. Shelby Faith is due to make her appearance on Feb. 18th and we can't wait to meet this miracle baby! Slone Lake , LA
