Guest guest
A D & E is dialation & evacuation (if I remember correctly). It is similar to a D & C but if I remember correctly the difference is with a D & E they use a suction to clean out the uterus & a D & C they scrape the uterus. I could be wrong but I beleive that is how my OB described it the day of the procedure. Which procedure they use is up to the OB I think. They both get the job done so to speak. I passed the baby in the sac the night before my procedure but I don;t think that had any bearring on the method as the D & E was scheduled the day before.
