Guest guest Posted November 10, 2004 Report Share Posted November 10, 2004 We've been going to Shriner's Hospital in Springfield, MA for the last 6 weeks. is now a year old, his birthday was today, and we found the Ponseti method 4 days before he was scheduled to have major surgery on his feet with a non-Ponseti doctor. Last week the doctor didn't seem sure he would be able to correct 's feet without surgery and I was feeling depressed. I had decided if he couldn't correct them we would go see Dr. Ponseti. However, today when we went he said was ready for a tenotomy followed by shoes and a bar. So he's scheduled to have the tenotomy Nov. 23! I'm so happy. The weekly 440 mile round trip, even with Angel Flight, was beginning to get to me. That was the best birthday present ever!
