Guest guest
My daughter is almost 4 also and she asks me everyday if her baby sister is growing. Ha ha. I showed her the photo of the baby in the What to Expect book and she understood that it's very small and has to grow everyday. I showed her with my hand how big the baby is and she reminds me that, that is the size of the baby. So far she's ok with this explanation. Guest guest
I have been showing my 2 year old son: Sesame Streets' Three Bears and a New Baby. I am not sure if he gets it though. He points to my belly and says baby, so that is encouraging. I just hope he does not think I ate it! -- SkiFamily@... wrote: My daughter is almost 4 also and she asks me everyday if her baby sister is growing. Ha ha. Guest guest
My suggestion would be to get a calendar, mark down the due date, and have her X out everyday, so that way she can see WHEN the baby is due, and have a way to count down until he/she is here. Niki Any Suggestions??? Hi All....I am looking for a better way to explain my pregnancy to my 4 yr. old daughter. She knows there is a baby in my tummy, and that it is very tiny, but she just cant understand the length of time it is going to take for the baby to arrive. Everytime I go to the doctor, she is convinced we are bringing home her new baby brother or sister, lol. I would like to find a book or video about it that is age appropriate for her. Any suggestions? I will check the library next week, but thought some of you have probably been thru this and have some ideas...Thanks!
