Guest guest
My babies always had a quiet time, lol, they like to sleep to and souonds like your is going to be a night hawk already, sleep all day and up all night, lol... you could alwlays try to stimulte him in the day to get him going, like find what drink or food gets him active and try that when he is quiet. Mine freaks with orange juice. But i think he is just fine and resting in there all comfy, exspecially since you feel him the rest of the evening. Guest guest
Deanna, Your post might as well have been ME posting! I have had all those same fears with not feeling the baby kick as regularly as other times and it freaks me out! I even ended up in the emergency room a couple of weeks ago because I was just SURE that something was wrong with the baby (the heartbeat was fine). It's my first pregnancy and everyone has reassured me that this is so normal. My husband and I just rented a doppler that we can use at home. It has seriously saved my sanity! It's about $20 a month and you can keep it for one month or however long as you want. It's easy to use and hearing that little heartbeat really calms me. Just wanted to share that. Also, I do feel the baby " kicking his way out " as you put it, and I've read that at this stage (I'm 23 weeks) they still have enough room in there that they can put their feet up and basically practice " walking " on your Uterus! I think that's what I feel when I get that sensation. The little guy is actually using me as a treadmill!! LOL Anyway... I just wanted to tell you that you're not alone in your worries and that I do think it's normal not to feel any movement for fairly long periods of time. Have a good day! Guest guest
As for renting the doppler to hear the heartbeat, Walmart sells something in their baby dept that you can listen to the heartbeat with after 20 weeks. It's 20 dollars. I've had family who have bought it, and they say it works like a dream. You have headphones to listen with, you put the thing on your tummy, and listen away. There is also a cord that goes with it so you can record the sound either to tape or to your computer. I will try and find out what it is called.
