My rights to decide what to do with my body end where the life and rights of another begin. Like it or not, we're saving babies at 24 weeks of gestation and spending millions upon millions of dollars to keep them alive in the NICU...so what makes them different from a fetus whose mother decides she doesn't want it and ends its life? This isn't about abortion or abortion rights. It's about not being selfish when you've decided to take on the responsibility for another life. Guest guest
I didn't see how far along she was, but even prematurely with Mom using cocaine and alcohol, the baby was far better off in NICU somewhere than staying inside her~! Guest guest
, If I remember correctly she was 29 weeks pregnant. Axelrod Re: Re: DID ANYONE SEE THE NEWS? Guest guest
It seems that I may be the one who needs to find a new group... We all express our opinions on this board and maybe mine differ from yours, but the bottm line is we don't have to agree.
Guest guest
, I for one would HATE to see you go, please don't! I value having you in the group and really would like you to stay. I have not agreed with everyone's opinion on this issue, thats what I kinda stopped commenting on it. Regardless of whether their views have matched mine or not I don't want to see anyone leave. Heck, I know that I put myself out there for harsh judgement talking about me taking pain medication during this pregnancy and there may be members out there who think I'm an awful mother to do this, but I figured it that there was a good possibility that I was not the only one and I needed support so I went for it. I was lucky to find others who were in the same position and could help me. My point is, I can relate to how your feeling but I'm stickin around and I really hope you do to!
