Guest guest
Janet, I also notice if I chew gum I get horrible gas. I guess when you chew gum you gulp air...at least that's what my surgeon said. I don't know if your a big gum chewer but its something else to watch out for. Chrystal Wife to Jace - together 6 Years! I just wanted to thank everyone for all their imput on this matter. It just helps to see that I am not the only one going through this. I take Gas X " daily " (Dr. said it fine) and I also take beano when I eat something that I " think " could potentially give me gas. Pepto, tums, etc. don't seem to help me. I did try the hot shower, and this does help when the episode isn't a BAD one. My OBGYN (although I had and ultra sound over every inch of every organ in my body, and all they seen was ALOT of gas and alot of bile) suggested that I speak to my family doctor about this, in which if I have another episode I will indeed speak to one. My OB also said that it may perhaps be that the baby is pushing up on my organs causing the gas pains also. And BTW they put me on an extra dose of iron(SLOW RELEASE, because it's said to be easier on you) because I an anemic, so therefore I just recently in the last part of the month started taking metamucil or a chewable pill and with me taking the gas X it hasn't given me any extra pain or anything to let you know. I hope my imput helps as much, as you girls did. I wish you all luck and feel free to write, I do enjoy reading the board and I will be hanging around! Thanks Again!
