Hi - thanks so much for the advice - we will definitely dip the ends

in the varnish! We have got through the first 24 hours without any

mishaps. has taken to them extremely well - I was expecting

tears all day! It has been so reassuring to hear that the heel not

fitting in the sandal straight away seems to be fairly common.

pretty good shoes, his heels should work their way down pretty

soon. A few parents here have had some trouble with the shoe

actually breaking due to a different type of plastic used.

You don't have to treat them with kid gloves but you might not want

to throw them across the room (haha). On our recent pair I had to

trim the straps as they were really too wide to fit through the

buckle. Also a thing I did to ours was I dipped the tip of each

strap in to a varnish (polyurathane?). After it dried this allowed

the tip of the strap to be pushed through the buckle easier when

dealing with a wiggly child. Good luck with your baby!
