I was really down after I had the boys and I was scared to say anything thinking that instead of me being able to get help from the nurses or state people that they would take my babies away from me thinking I was nutty. So I toughed it out and cried alot. Thank God it all turned out okay for me. Unfortunately there are so many who are also afraid to ask for help who end up hurting themselves. I experienced ppd after the birth of my daughter almost 10 years ago but I look back now and just wonder if it was more of being overly tired than depressed but I do know that it got really frustrating after I couldn't get her to stop crying all day due to her being colicky and when her dad walked in at night around 8 or so I would hand her off to him and he would lay with her until she fell asleep. It was hard but I never thought of hurting anyone. I sure hope she gets help. Keep us posted.
