CPAP / BiPAP masks fitting

I suggest that you have any mask fitted while you are lying down with

pressure blowing at the pressure prescribed for you. I have had masks

supposedly fitted on me when I've been sitting up. It isn't the same

thing at all. You might ask if you can try the Mirage Vista mask by

ResMed. This is quite new and has 5 symmetrical and 20 asymmetrical

positions. Whichever make you get just be certain that you are shown

what adjustments are possible and how to make them. It was suggested

to me that for small leaks around the bridge of the nose you can try

the cloth surgical tape on your nose. It is safe and it comes off

easily.

Also, I would tell your doctor about the feeling of drowning. That

could indicate that a BiPAP would be better for you since the

pressure is reduced when you are exhaling.
