Guest guest
Dear Alice, I am very happy that you enjoyed the story. In re-reading it, I fear I may have given the impression that was a sad-sack and long-faced person. The exact opposie is true. She is an absolutely hilarious person, and has always had people laughing in her presence, from the time she was very little, til now, at almost 26. She reminds me of the great comedians, who are often extraordinarily fine serious actors. Like Art Carney, one of my favorites. Is it not unbelievable at times, when we realize how different our children are, one from the other? I have some good friends, struggling with this problem, or that, amongst their children. I always say, just do your very best, at all times. In the end, they all come to us different, from the very beginning. Hope you can get some good sleep tonight, Alice. You have so many serious medical problems on your plate. Please try to take it just one day at a time, as the wise saying goes. God bless. S. Guest guest
Dear Laurie, Thanks for your comments, which I truly appreciate. Yes, you are right! There are so very many Reeve-type people here with us, day after day. That's why I always say to people when commenting on TV sitcoms and some drama shows, that the characters are often hollow, impolite and self-centered people; I can't waste my time wih them. For the people I meet daily in person, and online are people of warmth, compassion, depth--and ,yes, real humor. Sincerely, S.
