Guest guest Posted March 19, 2004 Report Share Posted March 19, 2004 Hi All, I had gastric bypass surgery 11/2 years ago with good outcome. I have lost about 130lbs and am currently in good health and below MD's goal weight for me. My husband and I have male factor infertility and are just beginning the process of IVF with ICSI. I started birth control pills as part of their prescribed protocol, will begin Lupron next week, and then the ovarian stimulating drugs following that. I already feel " puffy " and am loosing/gaining the same 2-3 lbs every few days since I started the BCP. I am very concerned that once I start the stimulating drugs, I will see a weight gain. Does anyone have any thoughts on a game plan for me to prevent weight gain with the steroids or has anyone gone through this and can share what worked for them? I do want to be pregnant, but I also feel like I have worked hard for my weight loss and don't want to jepordize it. Sorry this is so long-thanks in advance for the input!
