Guest guest
Hello all. Sorry but another question... is now 10 months old and is into everything. He is now walking albeit with a walker and in fact he's so quick he's just short of running with it. He's now getting more confident and I suspect he'll be off unaided in the near future. I am not sure if this is right or not butI heard that all new babies claw their feet (ok hands tend to have closed fists but wasn't so sure about feet). Anyway if this is the case surely by now (10 months) this should have stopped? He's had a major grow recently and I am sure his feet have drooped more or he is clawing them more. He walks beautifully so no problems there. But when he is crawling or in fact when his feet are resting, I have noticed that from the big toe joint to the tops of his toes, he curls them under. Hope this explains what I can see. I think he does this in his boots at nights too. Is this normal? Should I be concerned and get an appointment with his Consultant? (we're not due to see him till January). What can they do - is this due to his muscles being too slack? Any advice would be appreciated. Guest guest
Hi - Curling of the toes is very normal with CF or Non CF children. My son did it until a little after age 2 and then they just straightened out. > >Reply-To: nosurgery4clubfoot >To: nosurgery4clubfoot >Subject: Feet dropping down/ clawing of foot while >crawling >Date: Mon, 11 Oct 2004 21:34:37 -0000 > > >Hello all. Guest guest
My dd 8 months old does this too. I can't remember how long my ds did it but I think it was awhile. I don't think it is anything to be too concerned about. Just ask about it at your next appointment. JMO.
