Newbie here & Question...

Hello everyone.

I am so happy to have found this list. Here is a bit about me…

I had my open RNY 11/07/00 and lost 100 pounds by my 1 year anniversary.

I maintained that loss up until about 2.5 years and then I had a

bounce-back of 13 pounds. I have successfully lost that now by

following weight watchers since April 2003. By Christmas I was back

down to where I should be (long & hard battle!)… then on 12/29 I found

out I was pregnant! Talk about surprise… I just told my fiancée the

good news last night as he lives about an hour away and isn’t here

during the week. I have a son who is 9 years old; I have been divorced

since he was 1.5 years old (I am 34 yrs old). My period was off since

November. Getting it on & off, spotting, breast tenderness, etc. so I

when I went to the doctor for another reason (documentation of rashes,

infections, etc for a tummy tuck approval), I asked for a pregnancy

test. Sure enough, it came back positive! They thought I may be

anywhere from 4-7 weeks at this point. My first appointment is 1/20 and

I can hardly wait. I think that I am 7 weeks as of 1/3/04 when

calculating it on a web-site calculator but we’ll see! I didn’t think I

would get pregnant now so this was a shock but we are happy—my son will

be too once we tell him (but that won’t be for awhile!). We are not

telling anyone until after 12 weeks for sure but I have to talk to

SOMEONE about it, it is killing me keeping it inside. That is one

reason why I am not signing my name; I don’t want anyone to know yet!!

Anyway, I have so many questions! Anyone else out there have over 9

year’s age difference between babies?? Also, I had a question about

vitamins. Do you take a prenatal vitamin in addition of your daily

multi-vitamin or does it replace your multi-vitamin? I take a

multi-vitamin, B-12 and calcium daily (since surgery). I will ask my

doctor as well but I wanted to see what your experience with the

vitamins have been.
