Guest guest
My son has a left club foot and in each cast his toes have grown out of them and have stayed swollen. One thing that I was concerned about is when they take the casts off near his ankle it looks like he's been cut or sliced. When they took off his third cast it was worse than the previous one and the Doctor was not concerned with it because they say it's from the skin growing but not being able to stretch out. Has this happened on any other child? My son gets his 4th and final cast off on Thursday and I'm afraid of what his foot will look like when the cast is off since he's had it on for three weeks. We did get lucky and didn't have to have him get a tetnomy, but I want to know about the skin issue. If it has happened to someone else how long before it healed? Anyway any suggestions?
