Guest guest
Hi , I don't really know if it's okay or not. I would email Dr H and see what he says. I INSISTED that 's 3-week cast be covered with fiberglass for just that reason. Especially since she's crawling and she was so rough on her 1-week casts! Dr H said she didn't need the fiberglass but I had the PACU nurse call Tony (the casting tech at RIAO) and he came over and wrapped it for me. Depending on what DR H says, you may be able to get a local ortho to cover Christian's cast with fiberglass to make it more durable. Good luck! We took home casting material from the doctor's office and occasionally reinforced the heels as needed. This worked well for the 6 weeks she was in this last set. Thanks everybody for your input on Kansas City docs. We had an appointment set up, but things changed and we couldn't make it. I think I'm going to take pics of her feet and send them to Iowa instead. Rob, , Leah Graham
