Guest guest
We flew at Thanksgiving with the brace. I tied it to my carry-on backpack and had no trouble sending it through the screening machine. I didn't put it in checked luggage since we have had trouble in the past with luggage not making our flight and then not getting the luggage for a day or two. I didn't want to worry about Zeke not getting his brace time! If anyone needs to travel with the brace on, here's something I learned when travelling last Christmas: let the screeners know that it is a medical necessity that the brace be worn and not removed for a period of time. Apparently if they insist that you remove the brace (or any medical device) they can be held liable for any resulting medical impact, which they certainly do not want to have happen! We did not have to remove the brace for any of the checkpoints. Happy and safe travels!
