Guest guest
Just take good care of yourself . It's funny that alot of people who had infertile years and finding themselves fertile after losing weight, YEAH!!! I had many years of Clomid and IUI's without success and I finally gave up and got prego for twins on my own. My daughter was a first try back on Clomid w/ IUI and the rest of my pregnancies have all been on my own too. But I tried Clomid for over 8 years without success the first time around. ANyways, Take care of you now, eat good things even if it has to be small amounts throughout the day. Drink your fluids to keep from being dehydrated and take all your vitamins you would normally be taking. Get to the drug store and pick up some folic acid to add to those and when you see your doc they should add prenantals to all those. Other than that, life as normal girl and enjoy your pregnancy God Bless, Robin, NorthEastern, NY EDD- July 27th, 2004 Mommy to: & (twin boys 7 1/2), Madison, daughter, 5 years and Wife to Pup 15 years (October 31, 1988) Gastric Bypass Surgery- October 18th 2002 Start-378, current- 246(pregnant) goal 170 after baby
Guest guest
I just wanted to WELCOME you to the group!! Sorry I am unable to answer your question about premature babies, this is my first child. But as I have read on other sites and what my doctor told me, having gastric bypass does not increase miscarriages or premature babies. That the percentage is the same as it would be for any woman. Have you scheduled your first pre-natal visit yet? Your doctor should be able to ease your fears for you. Good Luck and CONGRATULATIONS!!! Shayla > Hello I an new to your sight. Guest guest
Michele, I am 33 weeks pregnant with my third baby (first since WLS). My second was born at 28 weeks and weighted only 1 pound 9 ounces. That was due to preeclampsia and developing HELP syndrome. With this pregnancy I have had no problems of that nature. So if what caused your first to come early was preeclamsia, then relax and enjoy this pregnancy. By having WLS you have reduced your risk significantly. If you had her early due to pre-term labor, I'd have to say just watch-out for warning signs and stay in-touch with your doctor.
