Guest guest
, I admit, there were more than a few nights after the first tenotomy that I took the shoes off and just let us both sleep. Since the second tenotomy, Elijah's been more comfortable... but he's still not sleeping. He's apparently just not very big on sleeping period. lol!~ He's a tummy sleeper too and for us, that hasnt seemed to matter as far as comfort goes. Now that he can roll over both ways, he does so all the time. I dont feel like Ive slept all year between, being pregnant - having a newborn - Drew being on a 6 month deployment to a war zone - castings etc etc etc..... A usual night for me consists STILL of being woken up every couple hours. I try to nap during the day when (IF) I can get the boys to lie down at the same time. On the weekends, my older daughters help out and let me sleep in. If you have family around, Id make use of them and let them babysit while you take a day to nap. If you dont have family around, you might try a babysitter. I did that a couple days when I was sick so that I could rest and get better. OH, one thing you might try is a sound machine in the room. We have one that I used to keep on day and night and it helped him sleep. It just occured to me that I dont have it on anymore and that might be one reason he's not sleeping as well. Just keep hanging in there and sleep when you can. If you like tea, try drinking chammomile (sp?) tea to help you relax before you go to sleep. If youre nursing, hopefully the effects will benefit the baby too. Lori Mom to 3 + Elijah 3/26/04 RCF w/ plantaris DBB 23/
