Hello,

It is so good to hear you have made progress with Insurance. I am still waiting

for someone to call me back on this. If it is not what I want to hear, I am

Going to dispute it. The surgeries would cost them much more money in the long

run.

Everybody--GOOD NEWS

We have Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan and they processed the

sandals (MD Orthopaedics)as a non participating provider.

We just got a check in the mail today from the insurance company for

80% ($280.00) of the shoes cost. The service type was

Medical equipment, the procedure was Orthopedic footware, abd the

procedure code was L3250. The only thing we did was send in the MD

Orthopaedics reciept and the medical necessity form that Dr Ponseti

signed. We sent the infotmation to BCBSoM on 10/20/04, so there was

not a big hassle and we have never heard from them about the shoes,

just the check and EOB in the mail. Hopefully this will help

everybody get something from their insurance company.

easy that's for sure but we did get a 'code' that our insurance co

uses so we're hoping that gets us through more quickly. I know we'll

be needing several letters to prove medical necessity and such so

we'll let you know if we're successful.
