Guest guest
Ann-Marie The MDA clinic I go to has been doing this for quite a number of years. I would say in the neighborhood of 10 years. Must be that it was phased in over several years. laurie > > Reply-To: > Date: Tue, 12 Oct 2004 22:54:27 -0400 > To: > > Subject: MDA Clinic Visits > > Hi Everyone, > > I went to my MDA Clinic yesterday and when I let them know I was here for my > appt. Guest guest
I myself haven't gone to a MDA clinic but I've taken my son that is 8, I also have a $4500.00 dollar deductible so I almost always have to pay for the visits myself. When they bill your insurance if you have a deductible , you first must meet your duct and then the MDA will pick up what your insurance doesn't. For me it's always me that has to pay. Guest guest
some time ago, in a related insurance billing practice, somebody out there sat down and did read the fine print that all insurance company's have, and discovered that they will pay for services that were unknown before to them before, not only medical insurance, but all kinds of insurance, take these as an example, volunteer ambulance, they bill the insurances Co's. now, fire Dept's now bill, in this case this is a two edge sward, for the MDA this means that there will be more money to go around, the down side, now this will become part of the record of a persons health, that was unknown to them before, so if for what ever reasion some one changes insurance Co's they will have an excuse not to issue insurance because of a pre existing conditions. markb > > > > > Reply-To: > > Date: Tue, 12 Oct 2004 22:54:27 -0400 > > To: > > > Subject: MDA Clinic Visits > > > > Hi Everyone, > > > > I went to my MDA Clinic yesterday and when I let > them know I was here for my > > appt. Guest guest
This is the same with all MDA Clinics. You are not denied service if you don't have insurance but first the insurance is billed if you do and any balance left over is paid by the MDA. The same goes for Shriner's Hospitals and any other organizational medical facility. Alice

Guest guest
I have been asked for medical insurance info since I started going to MDA clinics, back in 1996 I think. They will pursue a bit if a claim is returned as " not covered " , but the people at MDA I talked with said " don't worry about it if it is not covered " . My medical insurance plans, including my student insurance, have all covered the visits for the most part, and usually the MDA pays the copay, although I have sometimes (when I had more $$ than I do now!). Take care, RH > some time ago, in a related insurance billing practice, > somebody out there sat down and did read the fine print > that all insurance company's have, and discovered that > they will pay for services that were unknown before to > them before, not only medical insurance, but all kinds > of insurance, > take these as an example, volunteer ambulance, they > bill the insurances Co's. now, fire Dept's now bill, > in this case this is a two edge sward, for the MDA this > means that there will be more money to go around, the > down side, now this will become part of the record of a > persons health, that was unknown to them before, so if > for what ever reasion some one changes insurance Co's > they will have an excuse not to issue insurance because > of a pre existing conditions. > markb > > > > > > From: " Ann-Marie " > > > Reply-To: > > > Date: Tue, 12 Oct 2004 22:54:27 -0400 > > > To: > > > > Subject: MDA Clinic Visits > > > > > > Hi Everyone, > > > > > > I went to my MDA Clinic yesterday and when I let > > them know I was here for my > > > appt.
