Guest guest
, That's so sweet of you to offer to make bar covers for people. You don't know just how many moms have asked for them on this board over the past few years! Depending on how much " therapy " you need, you could always send a batch to Joyce (Dr. P's assistant) or the Mc House too to hand out to clubfoot families who are in Iowa City. I'm so glad that Ava is doing well in her brace for you thus far! & (3-16-00) left clubfoot
Guest guest
That's a really good idea about sending them to Iowa. I hadn't thought of that. I'll fill the " orders " I've gotten so far, and then maybe I'll send some. I'm trying to figure out a way to cover the bolts on the bottom of the shoes better. The one I made for Ava pretty much just cushions the bar (so she doesn't keep clunking it!!!) That's okay for now, because she's only 3 mths & not walking yet. But I know some of you have had issues with the bar/bolts tearing up floors once they're on the move!! And I know that my days of a stationary baby are numbered! Anyway, I've tried elastic, but it's such a small area & such a tiny piece of elastic, it's hard to sew. I was thinking little ties that could be pulled tight, but then I thought--who wants ANOTHER thing to tie/strap/velcro!!!! I'm trying to make it as simple as possible...I'll keep working on it! Any ideas are appreciated!! , mommy of: Guinevere, on, Ava 8/4/04 right CF DBB 23/
