Guest guest
Steve Prescription Carnitor is acetyl L-carnitine. It is just the regulated type that is consistent in makeup as it falls under FDA regulations. The over the counter types can change fillers and are not regulated as to content and quality. For those with prescription insurance coverage the prescription Carnitor (it now has a generic form) is much cheaper - at least for me it is. laurie > > Reply-To: > Date: Sat, 4 Dec 2004 01:42:53 -0500 > To: > > Subject: price for ALC from Swanson > > Sunny et al > > FWIW, I bought Acetyl-L Carnitine from Swanson ( > http://www.swansonvitamins.com/ ) one month ago. Guest guest
Laurie, I'm confused. Does your Carnitor box say acetyl levocarnitine? Mine does not, just levocarnitine. The package insert has always identified it the same way. I know Carnitor buffers acylCoAs but I've never seen anything in PDR or elsewhere that identified Carnitor as acetyl levocarnitine. What am I missing? Barbara > Steve > > Prescription Carnitor is acetyl L-carnitine. It is just the regulated type > that is consistent in makeup as it falls under FDA regulations. Guest guest
Barbara You are correct and I was wrong - Carnitor is just levocarnitine. laurie > > Reply-To: > Date: Sat, 04 Dec 2004 21:24:13 -0000 > To: > Subject: Re: price for ALC from Swanson > > > Laurie, I'm confused.
