Guest guest
Hi, in my previous post I told of how the sandals are slipping off Tommys right foot. I searched the archives and found some others had the same problem. Can you tell me what the outcome was and how it was resolved. Thanks in advance, Tommy Lee 4/23/04 BLCF, Atypical maybe, stubborn definitely!
Guest guest
Hi diana, We had problems with the right shoe as well. My husband finally put a couple extra holes in the top ankel strap and that has helped tremendously. I don't know how long your son's been in the shoes, but we had just gotten him out of casts and into the shoes when we were having the problems, dr. ponseti said it may take a few weeks for the foot to settle into the shoe. We have also found that physical therapy is helping at keeping his heel chord loose thus keeping his heel down in the shoe. funny that it's the right one again... hope this helps, 10-09-03 atypical bl cf mitchells 23/7 > > Hi, in my previous post I told of how the sandals are > slipping off Tommys right foot. Guest guest
, We just got the shoes on Friady so maybe he needs some time for the heel to settle down. I am praying that is the case. I e-mailed Dr. Ponseti with some pictures so I'll see what he has to say. Thanks for the encouaging words. > > > > Hi, in my previous post I told of how the sandals are > > slipping off Tommys right foot. Guest guest
Oh, I meant to tell you as well, we put thicker socks on him. that seemed to help as well. There are quite a few posts around here about empty heels, until these guys get walking, stand them as much as possible to help those heels form. Maybe Dr. P can refer you for PT, that has helped us tremendously in getting him standing and pushing that heel further down. Just a thought, > > > > > > Hi, in my previous post I told of how the sandals are > > > slipping off Tommys right foot. I searched the archives and > found > > > some others had the same problem.
