Thanks to all of you who responded to my state of emergency!! Geez what a drama

queen.

Well, we're back in casts for two weeks until Scooter's (Aidan) feet are heeled.

Back to the drawing board. Back to the farm. Back in black. Okay, I got

carried away. It's a bummer and I was really upset but what can you do. So,

we'll take this little set back in stride and try again.

I must say, without the blisters, his feet looked great. It was nice to just

snuggle him without anything on his legs for a day. I did notice today (Monday)

his feet swelled being out of the shoes and casts for a full 24 hours. Just

thought it was curious they swelled after the fact.

Thanks again guys for all your help through my minor melt down. I think it

should be a rule that all families that bore (is that the right word?) children

with clubfeet should be neighbors. That way we can sit in our lawn chairs at

the end of the day, drink a glass of wine, while our rug rats run around the

lawn (scoot or roll), while we solve the mysteries of clubfeet!!!

Jenn.

That sounds like a great idea. We don't know anyone who has a child with CF. It

would be nice to talk face to face about everyday life with a baby with a club

foot/feet to another person who understands what you are talking about.

Anyway, glad to here Aidan's blisters have heeled and you can get started again

on the road to better feet.

Oh Jen, I'm so sorry honey!!! I can totally understand your

feelings! We thought Ava was going to have to go back into casts

while we waited for a brace (until wonderful sent me

hers!!) and I couldn't even talk about it without crying! For some

reason the thought of one more cast was just one cast too many! It's

like, I thought we were done with casting, and now we're going

back!!! But I honestly can't think of a better cure for that than

1/2 gal of ice cream & a glass of wine! I hope you & Aidan enjoy it

immensely! And if you find the ideal " CF Neighborhood " , count me in!

Although, can't you just talk to everybody else you know that

had " turned-in feet? " hehe ;-)

, mommy of:

Guinevere, on, Ava 8/4/04 right CF DBB 23/7--2 WHOLE WEEKS!!!
