Hi Everyone,

I just wanted to introduce myself and say hello - I'm so happy to

have found this group as my current support group doesn't appear to

have any post-surgery pregnancies being discussed now, or in the

archives.

I just found out today at about 1pm and I've been alternating

between crying and websearching for information. I'm encouraged by

what I'm reading here, but also very scared as my surgeon is " very

concerned " .

I'm actively reading the archives of this great group, but it would

be great to hear any and all thoughts on pregnancy this early after

surgery... I know it isn't recommended, but it happens - as it has

here.

My stats:

DS surgery 7/2/03

Starting weight : 333

Current weight: 217

I'm not worried about the pause in my weight loss - that will work

itself out. I'm concerned about carrying a healthy child... and

whether my current diet can actually support that. How did your

diets change - or did they not change significantly? Do you have

any advice to offer me at this time? I'm making an appointment

first thing Monday (the funny thing is I don't even have a gyn

because I've had no periods due to my PCOS...) with the gyn my

surgeon recommended, and I will definitely print out the information

I've found here. Are there other significant things I should be

asking about, though?

Any guidance is much appreciated... any direction you can point me

in is helpful.

Many, many thanks in advance...

:) Belinda
