Guest guest
, Are you sure he said that they don't respond to mitchell shoes??? I think it's the markell ones. Our daughter has very atypical feet and the mitchell shoes have been a godsend. Although pricey they are worth it!!! I realize Texas is a long way from Iowa but if you can't find a good, Ponseti trained Dr where you are, I would advise you heading to Iowa. Call the shriners or other charitable groups in town to see if they will pay for gas or some such. It never hurts to ask! Chris re: update on samantha Well if you read my post this weekend i was worried about my daughter's feet relapsing so yesterday i got to send dr.ponseti pictures of her feet. well, my fear was true. her feet are indeed relapsing and dr. ponseti told me that her feet are also atypical something i had never been told. also atypical feet do not resond very good to the mitchell shoes and therfore that is why she is slipping out so much of her shoes. all this being said i am so nervous as to what to expect. i was told she needed 2-3 more casts and maybe another cord lenghting. i would love to see him and have him treat her but we are in texas and he does not know anyone close to texas to treat her. he offered to treat her thanksgiving week but i have a son in school, and my husband is a truckdriver so i feel so frustrated. one more thing(as if things are not bad enough) she would need to change from mitchell shoes to markell shoes but i dont know how much they cost or where i can get them? also in the meanwhile does she still need to wear the dbb's? thanks for all of your support and answers. i feel like a long journey is about to begin. michelle and samantha bl cf 12/16/
