Guest guest
Hoping someone can make me feel like something bad is not happening....Last night before bed, I went to the bathroom. When I wiped, I noticed a mucousy discharge, kind of light brown or pink in color. There wasnt alot, but enough to notice it on the toilet paper. This morning it is still there. I am really nervous. I put a call into my doctor and they will call me back, but I thought maybe someone here could offer some advice. I dont have any cramping, and there is a chance I may have a slight yeast infection. I am only 7 1/2 weeks along . Thanks! Lori D.
Guest guest
Lori What you may be experiencing is implantation bleeding...which can occur around your gestation time. I had the same ordeal...at around 6-7 weeks. The embryo is implanting itself snug into your uterus..and bleeding can occur. I told my doctor about it..and he had me come in for a internal ultrasound..and everything was just fine. He said if you are soaking a pad with blood and having to change it every hour then be alarmed....but I stopped bleeding around 24 hours....and it was only spotting on a panty liner. Don't worry....keep us informed. Lynn RNY 10/7/02 EDD 7/2/
Guest guest
Lori, I know just how you feel. I am 6 1/2 weeks and I have been experiencing the same thing. I spoke with a nurse and she said that as long as it was brown or pink-- and NOT red-- that it was okay. It is just residual stuff that sometimes works itself out durig implantation. I know some people who have spotted through their entire pregnancy, so I am trying not to stress. It seems to be worse for me if I am stressed or have been too active. So, I am trying to take it easy and pass some of my load to my husband and son. I know how scary it is, but try not to worry and know that this is considered normal. Best wishes! Guest guest
Thanks to all who responded! I feel alot more at ease today. I spoke to my OB and my Infertility Dr's yesterday and they both said that everything sounded fine. I see the OB tomorrow, so hopefully they will do an ultrasound and everything will be fine! This is my second pregnancy, but for some reason this one is alot more nerve racking. Maybe its the age difference...Im 38, and with all of the " over 35 " pregnancy worries, its driving me crazy! Thanks again, Lori D. >
