Guest guest
Hi , I am new here as well...and am six weks pregnant at just under a year post-op. I have lost 140 pounds, and was worried to tell my surgeon. (In fact, I made my hubby...who also had wls... tell him at a crowded wls reunion...!!! Giggle!!!) Find a good ob that may have had some experience with wls patients...or someone who is willing to work with you... I would be absolutley FURIOUS if my surgeon had suggested termination...(fortunately, he congratulated us...called us rascals...and said he thought everythng would be just fine...even with the minor complications I have had post op...)... I don't have any great advice other than find a good OB... and...since we are both new to here and newly pregnant....we can comiserate with each other!! Giggle! Hang in there... Sending hugs~ > >Reply-To: OSSG-pregnant >To: OSSG-pregnant >Subject: new here and 5 wks pg >Date: Thu, 12 Feb 2004 06:58:28 -0000 > >I'm pretty nervous. I had so many problems my last pg. Guest guest
, I am not sure why they are upset that you are pregnant as you are far enough out that you will do fine. I am 16 months out on Monday and will be 16 weeks pregnant as well. I am doing well. I haven't gained any weight as of yet but they are not concerned. I take my vitamins and try to eat as much as possible but I have to admit that I try to eat as much protein as possible but meat is the hardest thing for me to digest so besides chicken, I don't eat much meat for protein. I try to supplement with other sources. I say take good care of yourself and make good choices and you will be fine. Best wishes to you!! Guest guest
, I had to reply to this post and tell you to run, don't walk to find another doctor. I can't believe that your surgeon told you to terminate. If that is his bed side manner, then I sure would not want him near my bed. I would really try to find another surgeon or at least another PCP... Good luck and take care in Nevada \
