Guest guest
Hey that Freecycle thing sounds pretty neat. I'd never heard of it. My membership is now pending. Thanks for sharing. maybe we could start a clubfoot freecycle group instead of a freecycle group by region? One thing, I think your spell check changed Freecycle to freecylce so if anyone is looking for the site, don't cut and paste it to your browser from the email...its freecycle.org Freeman

Guest guest
I think this is a really good idea. I've been thinking for a while that we should have a place where we can list stuff that we're will to " exchange " or give others. Even stuff besides the shoes--like clothes or things in good condition that we've modified for our CF babies. I want to modify Ava's exersaucer to be able to put her in it with her bar on, and it would be nice to pass it on to another CF baby when she's done. And I have alot of girl clothes that are good with casts/bar like those little sweet-pea sleepers & stuff that are in good condition. It would be like a giant online CF swap meet!!! Guest guest
The 'swap' idea is a good one. But that would be somewhat a lot of work. Someone would have to keep an on-line inventory of everyhting. Similar to listing on ebay but pictures wouldn't be necessary. A good idea too would be to have a point system. Technically everything is free except S&H, but you must contribute in order to receive. For example, a pajama outfit can be worth 3 points. So if I contribute a pajama outfit , I have 3 points to get something else. Shoes and bar can be 20 points, etc., etc. Okay, who is up for the challenge? Guest guest
I think that is a great idea. I actually just modified Claire's exersaucer. I cut the bottom of the seat out and put industrial brand snaps in it. It's not the prettiest thing, but is does the job. I would love to donate it when I am done with it. Guest guest
A few months ago on the news they showed a website called freecylce.org and the purpose was to of course recylce everything. Appliances, furniture, clothing, etc. kinda neat. Alot of stuff was actually new in the box. I think the idea is great. After making so many alterations to things why not pass it on to someone who needs it. Guest guest
Thank you for the offer. I could arrange for the swap and the money would only come out of the foundation's account. Shipping and handling would be cheap. We could coordinate it through email. I can match what people need. I really want to do this! I can add a section to my website that can offer an area to list needs. PLEASE let me know! I would love it!
Guest guest
That sounds great . With you handling this, I really think that a maximum number of those in need can be reached. You have my vote!!! Jenni wrote: >Thank you for the offer. I could arrange for the swap and the money would only come out of the foundation's account. Shipping and handling would be cheap.
