I used Vapor rub regiously too! That seemed to help with the hacking because

mine was from the dry sore throat. I would try to stick it out a few more days

with the Robitussin. But I really liked the Sudafed.

Hope you get better quick!

It seems I have had colds since I got pregnant. For the last 3 days its been

horrible. Green sludge in my nose and chest and so muhc coughing I am having

pains in my sides and back. The doctors said to come in and go on

antibiotics....but everytime I go on antibiotics I get a raging horrible yeast

infection. So I chose not to get on the antibiotics yet...!

I called and spoke with another member of the high risk team trating me this

morning...a very nice and kind man who understood why I didn't choose to have a

yeast infection.

He told me all decongestants and antihistamines that are OTC are safe during

pregnancy.

This was the opposite of what I had heard from the pharmacist.

So I got some cough suppressant robitussin with guaifaison and some Claritin. I

will see how the Claritin works because its time release and one pill for every

24 hours.

So all of you who are suffering colds with me...I feel your pain.

Hubby is outside today with our 4 year old and I can actually rest.
