I am currently in contact with a women here who is going to have a clubfoot baby and is probably going to do the Ponseti Method with Dr. Colburn in California. Is there any way I can help. We live in the southeast and would be glad to talk and/or meet anytime. My phone number is . Although our son began treatment here in 1999, we ended up going to Iowa to see Dr. Ponseti when he was 6 weeks old. We occasionally visit with our original ped ortho here in Las Vegas. He switched over to the Ponseti method about 3 years ago and has done very well with it. My guess is that he treats most but not all of the children with clubfoot in Las Vegas. We are also aware of a local podiatrist who is using the Ponseti method. It is possible that there are others here who treat clubfoot that I do not know. I trust DR Camp everything that I've read about the method and on this board the Dr. has done or has told me. He has the casting models hanging on his wall, plus the DVD that has DR. I was more curious to see who here might be seeing the same DR. The Dr here my son is seeing is Dr. Camp, I trust him there hasn't been at any time something questionable done to my son. I was actually glad to hear him tell me about the method and say no surgery, since most of the websites I had read said most cases needed casts until 6 months then possible surgery. Dr. Camp has done and said things that people on the board had explained to me or others that would occur during the method. Our pediatrician and family doctors are also in the St. Rose Hospital medical building where Dr. Camps office is located. I think that he is doing very well with the Ponseti method.
