It has been 7 weeks since the birth of my daughter by c-section. I

am still bleeding. Sometimes it lightens up like it is going to end

then it starts up heavy again with mild cramps and passing small

clots. Of course it is nothing like that first week that I gave

birth but I am just wondering if this is normal? When am I going to

stop?

, that seems to me to be a bit long, especially for the clots. Did you

not have a 6-week checkup last week? If so, what did your doc have to say?

,

I personally did not have bleeding past 2 weeks with either of my

c-sections. My flow was just mild to start with then progressed to

light to none as it lightened it went from bright red to mucousy-pink

to just barely pink-tinged but mostly whitish clear.

You need to call your Dr's office and get it checked. They say its

normal to have some bleeding/discharge for a few weeks, but it never

should start back up heavier than it had gotten.

I had bleeding for 12 weeks after my c-section 4 years ago. It was very heavy

and had lots of clots. My OBgyn said some women bleed longer than others....I

know its not helpful. You may want to call your doctor and see if there is

something else going on.

It sounds like you and I gave birth around the same time (1-22), and I had a

c-section also. But after 3 weeks, I stopped bleeding. Did you have your 6

week check up? Did you mention it to your doctor then? If you haven't had it

yet, you might want to call them and make sure you have it, or mention it to

them, you should have stopped by now, my opinion anyway.
