My name is Diane I am 37 years old today(my birthday) It is also my six month anniversary of WLS(July,14 -03) I have officially lost 75 lbs as of today. Last Saturday I found out I was pregnant. I could not be happier even though I have 60 more lbs to go before goal I am OK if I do not loose anything else in order to have this baby. One of the determining factors of me getting WLS was the hopes that I would become pregnant afterward. Though I was thinking 18 months after not 6 months. I have been married 18 years this march and have had 3 miscarriages. I have not even been able to concieve since the 80's so this really comes as a surprise. For the last 3 years pre- op my husband and I have been doing all kinds of fertility things with no success of pregnancy. Now we weren't even trying It is not that I was just not being careful or anything there was only 1 time last month that we had unprotected sex and well here I am! I know the exact date of conception! he doctor calls me 5 1/2 weeks but I know the conception happened on the 21st of Dec. WOW I am so excited but scared at the same time. My WLS doctor has a one price includes all policy so i will be recieving extra followups and weekly nutritional anaylisis and counseling for no additional cost. It make me really feel like they care about my well being because they will be spending extra time with me with out being paid anything. I certianly chose the right doctor for me.
