Guest guest
Hi everyone, We just got back from Iowa City. Whew..what a drive! To all that posted, yes, definitly worth the trip. I was very impressed with everything. Dr. Ponseti is so " no words to describe him " . He feels Ava will definitly need a 2nd tenotomy but he won't do it until December, so we will be back out. The reason he couldn't do it is because of the first treating docs 2mnths ago cutting her and then stitching which created much scar tissue for him to do it again this soon. He is hopeful that he can correct her feet. The left is doing well but the right is very difficult. She had 4 casts with Dr. Ponseti and we came home in the 4th, leaving them on for 2wks then going into her mitchell shoes. I could see a difference in her feet after the 1st casts. Most probably she will relapse on the right when in the shoes we just have to do are best in getting that heel down good. We are very hopeful that after our Dec. visit she will be well on her way. So now the count down begins 12 days til casts off. I am definitly going to e-m oprah.
