Guest guest Posted January 29, 2004 Report Share Posted January 29, 2004 Hi All...my name is Lynn (from Cedar Rapids,Iowa?. I'm new to this site. I had gastric bypass 10/7/02...I've lost 100 pounds. On 9/30/03 I had a mastopexy...which was my first step for plastic surgery. 2 weeks after my surgery I got pregnant. I'm 18 weeks along and doing great....but.....got laid off from my job of 10 years with my insurance being OVER the end of Feburary. GO FIGURE!!! Not sure what I'm going to do...my husband can't get insurance through his employment...nor does he make a lot of money. Has anyone had experience with Medicaid/Title-19...or a program called MAC (I believe it's for pregnant women)...or filing state papers if you don't qualify for medicaid? I'm nervous and scared....no insurance program will pick me up because of the pregnancy....and I can't afford COBRA on unemployment. If anyone has any input or advice it would be much welcomed.
