Congrats and Lord's blessings to you during this fabulous time! :)

Kids are so much easier to take on trips when they are still in the

tummy! Now whenever we go out for the day with my two boys 3 and 14

months I feel like we are packed and ready to move out of state!! oiy!

I am a stay at home mom, but I prefer to be called " domestic

Engineer " . hehe! Like ee said, there are so many jobs we do at

home, those soap operas can get so involved and it's a lot of work to

open a new package of bonbons while juggling the phone and the remote

at same time! LOL!! Seriously though, I was a SAHM when my first was

born with no difficulties and continued at home when second was born

with atypical bl cf. This is the only job I've ever had where I feel

I am using all of my gifts God gave me. For me, it is the best job in

the world and the most important one. It has been a blessing being at

home with 's dr. visits, castings, trips to iowa,

surgeries..yadayada. I can't imagine doing all of that, (not all was

normal for a mom with clubfoot baby) and having a job outside of the

home. It was a huge blessing to be able to do what we've done to deal

with 's feet. Lord bless you with this decision, it's a hard one.

Please don't worry too much about the LCF. do your research and talk

with us here online. We are all here to help whether we are starting

out in the journey, going through it still, or getting ready to walk

on our own! Use the knowledge of this board to your advantage. And

enjoy your pregnancy to the fullest. don't let fear steal your joy!

Lord's blessings,

hmmmmm.

i make jonah feed me the bonbons while hannah does my nails. sometimes i'm onto

the second hour of soaps though before they finish their chores, so i get

impatient and open the bonbons myself. always afraid i might break a nail when

i do.

,

I love the Domestic Engineer thing. Just today that wonderful " alumni

association book " is being published for my high school and they called to get

updated bio info. I had to laugh - it's been 25 years since I graduated.

Anyway, he asks me about my career, degrees and such and I give him all of the

data - BS's, Masters and such and he keeps saying " congratulations. You've

really done alot. " So then he says " do you have a job title? " and my response

was " Well, let's see. It's hard to pin down because I wear so many hats but

just today I've been a Child Development Specialist, a CEO, an accountant and a

Planner for our Non Profit, The Family Comes First. " There was silence on the

other end. For awhile. And then he says " so can you repeat that. I didn't get

it all " . ROFLOL!!!!!!

LOL yeah, is non too thrilled either. She keeps trying to pull up by

bringing her right leg around but she can't unbend the knee to stand up and she

just whines. And if she gets somewhere small where she's in head first, with

the casts she can't turn herself around by squeezing them in so she just whines

again. Poor thing. I wonder how many more we'll have but at least after this

set I hope the next ones put her feet at a better angle for sitting on the

floor!

I miss the shoes, too. And the showers. LOL But I do like not getting my legs

whacked while I try to feed her! LOL

You mean you haven't experienced the sledge legs of death yet??

omigosh, these are 10 times worse than the bar I think. he cracks a

good one on my knee every time I feed it, I've got to put a blanket

over my legs before feeding him now. oiy!!

I'm sorry to hear she's struggling, but nice to know I'm not alone!

Hehe! Hopefully tomorrow we can both say, yay, they're back to

normal! :)

Have a great night, watch out for those legs! :)

What kind of shop do you have, if you don't mind me asking?

income that trickles in from the little shop we have that's only

been open two years - and that we started off of nothing more than

my unemployment checks when I got laid off from my job a few months

before Everett was born.......I debate returning to work all the

time. I miss having a regular and adequate income, I even miss the

social contact, but over the past couple years I've

learned " adaquate " is one of those really subjective terms. I'd

like new towels but my old ones are adequate. .....ha ha.....and

an irregular feast or famine income just makes one become a) very

faithful and B) very creative. My dh said a while back that I " m a

good cook and I laughed cuz it's so not true, but he said, " Ya, but

look you can make a meal out of nothing! " LOL!

I went back to work f/t when ds was 8 weeks. I was very nervous

about the day care providing the care needed as far as putting bar

on/off - they did great. We did a lot of interviewing - A LOT. I

also have other " tricks " that I think helped his providers

understand the seriousness of everything, if you're interested in

hearing, let me know!

A big Italian guy dressed in black carrying a violin case made them a visit? Or
