shannon,

You are describing me to a " T " !

Pre WLS was a breeeeeeze even @ 315#. POST WLS 145# lighter was

horrendous (I think b/c of age-37).

I honestly thought I was dying near the end and begged my OB to take

my baby at 36 weeks because I felt he would be much better off in

NICU than in the body that surely was slowly killing him.

Not trying to scare anyone, just MY personal experience!

:)

Things STILL aren't back to normal and the baby is nearly 15 months

old now!

I also notice this pregnancy is different than when I was over 300

pounds. I am only 14 weeks pregnant but already with bedrest and a

bazillion other complications I have been miserable. What's the

dealio...I thought WLS was supposed to make you feel better? Withmy

first pregnancy I was just fat!!!

Chrystal,

That is totally what I was thinking. I thought that after losing so

much weight I'd just float through pregnancy, after all isn't losing

all that weight supposed to put us in better shape and better

health? Well I have to say that is NOT SO with pregnancy. Also, all

the dr's say that " normal " weight pregnancies are easier and

healthier. So why do I feel like I am not going to survive this??

And I have *at least* 11 more weeks?! UGH!! My only saving grace is

that my other kids came early so I am hoping this one will too, of

course since NOTHING is like it was the first two times I am not

counting on that! This kid is bound and determined to kill me.

Well, i know we are all definately a bit older in these pregnancies and every

pregnancy is different. You did not say where your pain is. If it is bad back

pain and leg pain it could be the baby resting on your sciatica nerve. I have

NO idea what you could do for the headaches exceopt to take tylenol and get

plenty of rest. Maybe now that youa re not working you could get a nap in the

day time or even try to take a relaxing warm bubble bath. I have had headaches

due from sinus problems with this pregnancy but I am sure it is not as bad as

migraines. I wish you the best of luck and my prayers go out to you.

Chrystal,

I have to agree with you on this one. When I got pregnant with my daughter 10

years ago I was almost 200lbs. and gained 60lbs. with her but I did feel good

throughout the pregnacy. This time around I am over 100lbs. thinner and since

finding out that I am pregnant, I have been extremely exhausted. It is all I can

do to get up, get dressed, take my daughter to school and then come home eat my

breakfast and back to bed I go until I have to pick her up. I sure hope that

this will go away soon as I really want to enjoy this pregnancy as I have wanted

this for a long time. Hope you are feeling better soon as well.

I just had to say that I am the same exact way! I thought that this pregnancy

would be a breeze. But I just have no energy. I work 12 hr shifts as a 911

Dispatcher, have a 3 yo daughter and a household. I feel that I can do nothing.

I am having twins and really, really want to enjoy this, but I just can't

My hubby thinks that this is all in my head because my last pregnancy I was 300

lbs and able to do everything! I am 10 weeks now.

" Please God, Help me get through this and let this pass " is my new Prayer that

I say constantly!!

so NICE to hear how exhausted everyone is. ME TOO!!!! I am 12 weeks. Isn't this

supposed to get better. I feel like a waste of fresh air at work as I don't have

the energy to do much and everyone has to pick up my slack. They seem to

understand so far, but I don't know how much longer they can take it.....perhaps

it's like the books said. The baby is sucking all the energy he/she needs and

leaving nothing for us. Least thats the way I like to think about it...then I

know I' m doing this for her/him!
