Guest guest
These tests are not worth taking! The only test that can really give you these results accurately are both the Amnio and the higher level ultrasounds. I think even the AFP might, but that triple screen is a HUGE false positive test! I have refused it with all FOUR of my pregnacies because of this. And my doctor agreed. She said if we have no reason to even suspect we are high risk....then don't take it because it gives many people huge unneeded worry with false positives! I wouldn't read into these results! Everything should be ok. I hope they have scheduled you for the level II ultrasound ASAP. I know with positives most doctors get you in within a week to do the ultrasounds. Prayers coming your way! Sydney Due with baby #4 (first after GBS) EDD July 10th. triple screen results please pray Thanks Just letting you know that I got my results from my triple screen, and it tested positive for Down syndrome. It means that I am in the high risk for having a baby with Down Syndrome, not that the baby has it for sure. (I am sure most of you know about this test) Please continue to pray for me and baby, and please keep this new test result in mind. Thank you for your continued support and prayers. God bless, Bunny Children are a blessing, and a gift from the Lord. -Psalm 127:3 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Guest guest
Robin.... Sorry, but I can't help but reply, as a physician. We " STUPID DOCTORS " do many of the tests we do because patients/the public demand that we test for everything we possibly can. (Either that, or WE get sued for not offering all of the technology currently available to the patient.) All physicians should, of course, explain to pregnant patients that the triple screen is simply that-- a screening tool. After that, it is up to the patient whether she wishes to be screened for the abnormalities this test can detect. Rather than get infuriated with medical professionals, why not get infuriated with the highly litiginous society we live in? Sheri 39 weeks today!
